Hi, my name is Teresa Hackney and I co-ordinate Marine Studies at Mercy College. We are a middle school with students in YR8-10 (12-15 year olds). My current class are studying coral reef ecosystems and have an assignment on adaptations of a an invertebrate animal that they are likely to encounter whilst snorkelling at the reef. These students will be taking a day trip to the reef on the 5th of June. Students will also be looking at th eimpact of human interactions on the reef including global warming, sediment "run-off", crown of thorns, etc....
